Hi, I'm Meghan.

I started taking photos around 2017 and pretty quickly fell in love with the idea of creating memories to be cherished for years down the road. Over time, I have worked to learn, grow, and expand my portfolio.
I love learning different styles and am open to anything when it comes to photos. Your photos should feel like YOU, and I want to make that happen, I am always happy to discuss your ideas and make your session what you want it to be.

I started my photography journey while I was in my undergraduate program, where I did the opera and musical theatre department's headshots. I am a trained singer and voice teacher, and I also teach private voice lessons (find me at Meghan Mitchell Voice Studio!). I have my B.M. in Vocal Performance from the University of North Alabama and my M.M. in Vocal Performance and Literature from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I moved to Champaign, IL, for a few years while I was in school but came back to the Shoals after graduation. I am a Florence native and a lover of this area and the people here. I truly think the Shoals has so much to offer.

When I am not teaching, singing, or behind the camera, I love to read just about anything. I also love to cook and bake - and love to feed people. My husband is my best friend, and I spend time with him any chance I can get. He also has degrees in music and is a Huntsville native. We have been together for the better part of a decade and got married right here in Florence on our 7th dating anniversary. Together, we have four cats, who truly are part of our family. Their names are Finnean, Theodore, Kimchi, and Otter.
